International Studies Minor

Mission Statement
The International Studies Minor is composed of courses with a strong international
component. The minor is designed to improve a student's international awareness and
to increase his or her sensitivity to people of different cultures.

Requirements
The International Studies minor requires students to take courses that
provide a broad background in international relations, topics, and cultures.
It is an interdisciplinary minor, requiring students to take courses in
at least three different subject areas, including such areas as Art, History,
Science, Politics, Philosophy, Religion, and Business. A total of 18 credit
hours must be taken from a list of approved courses in these subject areas,
with certain contingencies and limitations. Further, a language requirement
must be met, with the student achieving a mastery of either French, German, or
Spanish at the 210 level.
Choose a minimum of 6 courses (18 credits) from the list below. Only 2 courses (6 credits) may be below the 300 level. No more than 2 courses (6 credits) may be from the same discipline.
