Coastal Carolina University uses the designation Center to refer to a
specialized unit of the University that provides special programs and
services to the campus community. These programs and services may be provided
both on as well as off the University campus. While centers do not offer
degree programs, they fulfill an important role for the University in
creating opportunities for the University to be of greater service to
the community at large and, at the same time, making available opportunities
for members of the community to develop valuable relationships with the
University.
