News and Public Affairs
Because Coastal Carolina University is a flourishing institution, there is an increasing amount of media interest in the many and varied activities on campus. All University news releases, except for those relating to the athletic program, originate from the Office of News and Public Affairs and are placed in local, regional and national media. The media relations staff is also able to assist faculty and staff in developing and placing commentary/op-ed pieces.
All media contacts should be coordinated through the Office of News and Public Affairs to avoid duplication of effort and so that news stories can be tracked. Through clipping services and subscriptions we are able to track news stories concerning Coastal Carolina University people, activities, events and athletics in media outlets around the world.
