The Department of Campus Recreation offers a variety of trips each semester. Trips can include: local and regional sports events, white water rafting, kayaking (locally and regionally), camping, and hiking. For more information call 843-349-6673. Trip dates and times will be posted around campus through out the semester. Registration for Chanticleer Outdoor Adventures trips are on a first come, first serve basis. All students, faculty and staff of Coastal Carolina University are eligible to participate in Outdoor Adventure trips.
Chanticleer Outdoor Adventures (COA) at CCU provides students, faculty and staff with personal growth and team development opportunities. Through the medium of safe, fun and challenging experiences, participants can get the opportunity to enhance professional and personal effectiveness. The outdoor environment, along with effective group facilitation by the Chanticleer Outdoor Adventures staff, provides opportunities for the following: Team Building, Managing Conflict, Decision Making, Problem Solving, Risk Taking, and Communication.
