Weight Room & Cardio Theater
Our weight room is open to all faculty, staff and students. We recommend using a towel at all times.
The weight room consists of a cardiovascular area upstairs that includes treadmills, elliptical cross-trainers, rowing machines and recumbent bicycles & upright bicycles. We have a variety of selectorized equipment as well as free weight area.
Proper athletic attire must be worn at all times. No jeans, jean shorts, or hiking boots.
The use of towels is required for personal and equipment hygiene. Please wipe down weight and cardiovascular equipment after use. Campus Recreation is not responsible for providing towels.
No personal items are allowed in this area. Please use lockers or shelving provided. The Department of Campus Recreation is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Participants exercise at their own risk. Individuals are responsible for their own health and safety.
Please return weights to appropriate storage racks after use. Do not rest weights on benches, walls or mirrors.
There is a 30-minute time limit on all cardiovascular equipment.
Weight room attendants have the right to ask anyone to leave the area for inappropriate behavior.
Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to use the weight room.
For recreational use of the Student Recreation Center, all individuals must present a validated CCU I.D. at the front desk. I.D’s can be validated at the front desk.
Academic classes have priority in the SRC. Check posted schedules to confirm availability. The department of Campus Recreation reserves the rights to make appropriate changes in the schedule without prior notice.
A valid CCU student, faculty or staff identification card is required upon every entry into the facility.
All students enrolled for one credit hour or more are eligible to use the facility.
All current full time and part time faculty/staff members are eligible to use the facility.
Spouses and dependents (who are at least 16 yrs of age) of students, faculty and staff may request an I.D. card free of charge from the ID Office. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times.
Memberships are not sold to Alumni or the general public.
Guest passes are only available at $5.00 per person/per visit when accompanied by a CCU student, faculty or staff.
No daily passes available to non-CCU individuals
Rules and Regulations:
Tobacco use of any kind is prohibited in the facility.
No audible radios or stereos
Gym shoes must be worn in the gym, weight room and racquetball courts.
No muddy shoes in facility.
No food or drink.
Alcohol and/or illegal drugs are prohibited.
Abusive language will not be tolerated.
All policies outlined in the “Student Code of Conduct” will be enforced.
Please pick up and dispose of all trash.
