Sunday September 21st - Surf Lessons in Myrlte Beach 

Join the instructors from Island Inspired Surf for surf lessons at Spring Maid Pier in Myrtle Beach. Only $11 for CCU Students, Faculty, & Staff. Time TBD - based on weather & tides. Price includes board rental and lessons. Transportation not provided.

Saturday October 4th - Trip to the National White Water Center 

Join Campus Recreation on a trip to the US National White Water Center in Charlotte, NC! Home to the world’s largest man-made whitewater river, we invite you to play, relax and learn on the 400 acres that make up the facility.

CCU Faulty/Staff participants will get a day pass that allow them to take part in any and all activities that include whitewater rafting and kayaking, flat-water kayaking, mountain biking, rock climbing, zip lines, ropes courses and more. Cost is $55.00 for CCU Students, Faculty, and Staff members. That price includes transportation to and from the White Water Center in Charlotte, NC and All Day All-Sport Pass to the Center. Register online at: http://www.coastal.edu/recreation/store/. *Each person must register separately.

 Sunday Octboer 5th - Faculty & Staff Kayak Tour 

Joint Black River Outdoors for this 2-Hour Paddle on the Waccamaw, 2pm-4pm. Learn about the Waccamaw River and kayak basics as you paddle down this peaceful river. Cost: $25.00 for CCU faculty & staff members. 

Participants will meet at Peach Tree Landing in Socastee.  Register online at: http://www.coastal.edu/recreation/store/. *When you register, please list in notes if you would like a single or double kayak. If you would like a double, indicate who you will share with.

Mountain Bike Trips

Mountain Biking Rides:

We are offering instructor lead mountain bike rides on Wednesdays at 5:15pm. Participants will meet at the Outdoor Center at the HTC and ride from campus through Waccamaw Wildlife Refuge trails. These trails are located behind University Place right near the campus of CCU. Rides are free for students, faculty, and staff and all fitness levels are welcome.

Participants are welcome to bring their own bike or rent from the Outdoor Center. The Outdoor Center Mountain Bikes will be rented on a first come-first serve bases. Come early to rent a bike!
