Fall 2015 Outdoor Center Hours: M-Th 2pm-7pm, Fri-Sun 12pm-4pm
CCU StudentTrip to the US National White Water Center in Charlotte, NC
- September 12th 2015 (leaving campus at 7am, returning around 11pm)

Join Campus Recreation on a trip to the US National White Water Center! Home to the world’s largest man-made whitewater river, we invite you to play, relax and learn on the 400 acres that make up the facility. Participants will get a day pass that allow them to take part in any and all activities that include whitewater rafting and kayaking, flat-water kayaking, mountain biking, rock climbing, zip lines, ropes courses and more. The activities you do are up to you!
Sunday September 20th
Kayak & Paddle Board Trip for CCU Students. Join us at the Waccamaw River to Kayak or Paddle Board from 1pm-3pm. We bring your gear to the river and you must bring yourself to the river. $10 per person, register online by 9/18 at: https://www.coastal.edu/recreation/store/
Sunday October 4th
Surf Lessons at Spring Maid Pier in Myrtle Beach,10am-11am. Cost - $10.00, register online by 10/1 at: https://www.coastal.edu/recreation/store/
Saturday October 17th
Kayak & Paddle Board Trip for CCU Students. Join us at the Waccamaw River to Kayak or Paddle Board from 2pm-4pm. We bring your gear to the river and you must bring yourself to the river. $10 per person, register at https://www.coastal.edu/recreation/store/
Friday October 30th Haunted Kayak Tour
As Halloween approaches, join Black River Outdoor Kayak Tours for an evening paddle on the Waccamaw River, home to a surprising number of spirits and haunts. Paddle if you dare... $25 per person, open to CCU students, faculty, staff, and family members. Register at https://www.coastal.edu/recreation/store/
Mountain Bike Rides Tuesdays @ 1pm and Wednesdays @ 5:30pm
Join us at the HTC Outdoor Center for Weekly Mountain Bike Rides. Lead by our Trip Leaders, participants will ride 7-8 miles including single and double track trails of the Waccamaw Wildlife Refuge. No registration necessary. Bring your own bike or rent from us at no charge.
