A. Necessary Forms and Approvals
The Office of Research Services should be notified and given a copy of the proposal when it is complete (at least five days before the deadline). ORS will review the proposal to make sure it is in compliance with CCU's policy on Debarment and Suspension in Federally Sponsored Projects and is in compliance with the sponsor's guidelines. Other required signatures will be obtained electronically by the Office of Research Services before submitting the proposal to the funding agency.
If the proposed research involves human subjects or animal subjects, an Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocol or Institutional Animal Care & Use Committee (IACUC) questionnaire must be filled out and turned in to the Office of Research Services with the proposal. However, read the proposal guidelines carefully as some agency guidelines state that the project must have IRB or IACUC approval before you can submit the proposal to their agency.
