rSmart, a leader in enterprise resource planning (ERP) software for higher education, announced today that Coastal Carolina University has selected rSmart Cloud Express for Kuali Coeus to streamline the institution’s grant and research management activities to maximize initial and ongoing funding.
Built on open source, community-developed Kuali Coeus software, Cloud Express will provide Coastal Carolina electronic proposal routing, awards tracking, and compliance management. The online electronic research administration (eRA) solution will replace paper-based processes and disconnected point solutions while improving efficiencies with online workflows and configurable business rules.
“As a primarily undergraduate institution, Coastal Carolina has a limited research administration staff and resources but is working hard to increase our research volume. Cloud Express will provide a single reliable source for proposal, award, and compliance information along with enhanced oversight and visibility with built-in reports,” said Bruxanne Hein, Office of Research Services Director.
Coastal Carolina University will be a part of rSmart’s Pillar Partner Program, which brings together a select group of colleges and universities to provide insight and innovation for rSmart’s next generation of grant and research management solutions. Additional Pillar Partner members include Portland State University, Colorado State University-Pueblo, Georgia Southern University, Cal State-Monterey Bay and University Mississippi Medical Center.
“Coastal Carolina University represents a growing number of institutions looking for an affordable, turnkey eRA solution built specifically for higher education. rSmart looks forward to providing Coastal Carolina the training, implementation services, and on-going support to accomplish their short and long-term goals,” said Chris Coppola, rSmart CEO.
