Today's Date is: SEARCH OPTIONS: Seach the University Residence Halls The Rivers | The Woods | The Gardens | University Place We maintain 10 residence halls on campus which house approximately 1,300 students. The types of residence halls range from apartment-style to traditional suite-style accommodations. The Rivers - FreshmanWaccamaw Hall Waccamaw Hall houses approximately 400 students in more traditional suite-style halls. Rooms in Waccamaw Hall are double-occupancy and connected by a semi-private bathroom to a neighboring double-occupancy room. All four residents share the adjoining bathroom. Each double-occupancy suite is furnished with two beds, two desks and chairs, two chests of drawers, and built-in closet space. Additionally, there are a limited number of quad suite units with four students sharing a bathroom and common living area, but with individual bedrooms. Style* | Suite Style* (*PDF) Santee Hall Santee Hall houses approximately 350 students in more traditional suite-style residence halls. Rooms in Santee Hall also are double-occupancy and are connected by a semi-private bathroom to a neighboring double-occupancy room. All four students share the adjoining bathroom. Each double-occupancy suite is furnished with two beds, two desks, and chairs, two chests of drawers, and built-in closet space. Additionally as with Waccamaw Hall, there are limited numbers of quad suite units with four students sharing a bathroom and common living area, but with individual bedrooms. Each suite is furnished similarly to the double-occupancy with the addition of a common area sofa. A cafeteria style dining facility is located between the two residence hall buildings. Style* | Suite Style* (*PDF) Dogwood, Oak Cypress, Elm, Maple and Palmetto Halls These Halls are all apartment-style living units, accommodating approximately 400 students. Each unit in these halls houses four students with individual bedrooms. In addition, each apartment is furnished with a refrigerator, sofa, kitchen-dining bar with stools, chairs, beds, desks and chairs, chest of drawers, and built-in closet space. Style* (*PDF) The Gardens: Freshman (Returning and Transfer Students on request) Azalea and Magnolia Halls Azalea and Magnolia Halls are apartment-style living units which accommodate 130 students. Each unit in these halls houses three students who share one large bedroom. Each apartment is furnished with a refrigerator, sofa, kitchen counter, stools, beds, desks and chairs, chests of drawers, built-in closet space and a bathroom. Style* (*PDF) University Place – Upperclass, Returning, and Transfer Students University Place University Place is located a 1/2 mile from the main campus. Housing nearly 1,000 students in 21 apartment style buildings, it offers an Activity House equipped with an exercise and fitness center, outdoor pool/hot tub, social room with wide screen TV, basketball and volleyball courts, outdoor grills, and picnic tables. A combination of two and four bedroom suite-style apartments are available, however we have only 21 two bedroom suites for the property. Each apartment is furnished with a washer/dryer, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, stove, disposal, upholstered sofa and chair, TV stand, kitchen table and chairs. All bedrooms have private bathrooms and shared tub/shower. Each bedroom is furnished with a cable TV connection, high speed internet connection, double bed, desk and chair, chest of drawers and a closet. Floor Plans of University Place - 2
