To earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation and Sport Management,
a maximum of 73 credits may be applied toward satisfying Foundation Courses
and Major Requirements. Students must earn a grade of C or above in each
course used to satisfy Foundation and Major Requirements and English 101
and 102.
One course labeled Writing Intensive (WI) must be taken by every student
during each of the freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior years. English
101 and 102 are designated as writing intensive courses in the freshman
year. In addition, one course labeled Computer Usage (CU) and one Library
Research (LR) course must be successfully completed by every student before
graduation.
Beginning in the Fall 2006, students interested in seeking a degree in
RSM will be required to meet certain admission requirements. As the final
the required course, students must complete a 480 hour internship with
an agency that serves the public in recreation or sport. To be eligible
to do an internship, students are required to apply for admission to the
internship capstone experience.
