A records check confirmed the license plate was suspended and that the vehicle was reported stolen. The driver was interviewed and denied any knowledge of the suspended license plate or theft of the vehicle. The driver admitted to possessing marijuana. A firearm was located in plain sight in the vehicle. A records check showed the firearm was reported as stolen. The driver was issued citations and transported to the Horry County Detention Center. The vehicle was towed. The reporting agency for the stolen property was notified of its recovery. Warrants will be sought for further charges.
