The driver was interviewed and the officer requested the driver attempt SFSTs. The driver was not able to successfully complete the SFSTs. A second CCU DPS officer arrived and interviewed the passengers of the vehicle. During this interview alcohol, marijuana, paraphernalia, and a controlled substance were discovered. one of the passengers was found to be in possession of another person's ID. All three subjects were taken into custody. The two passengers were issued citations and transported to the Horry County Detention Center with a hold for warrants. The driver was transported to a breath testing facility. The driver refused to submit a sample and was issued a citation before being transported to the Horry County Detention Center. A hold was also placed on the driver for a warrant to be issued. The alcohol was destroyed the contraband was seized and the vehicle was towed. |
