While resolving the sparking violations officers observed a vehicle strike another vehicle and attempt to flee the area. The driver was interviewed and the officer requested the driver attempt SFSTs. The driver was not able to successfully complete the SFSTs. The driver was taken into custody and transported to a breath testing facility. The driver provided a breath sample that confirmed they were over the legal limit. The driver was issued a citation and transported to the Horry County Detention Center. The vehicle was towed. A second officer interviewed witnesses and located the driver of the struck vehicle a collision report was completed. |
