Seminars and Workshops

The Myrtle Beach Area Small Business Development Center (SBDC) supports the growth and success of small businesses through training, workshops and business consulting services. Below are some of the workshops offered. Most workshops are offered at a nominal charge and are open to the public. Prior registration and payment of fees are required for workshop attendance. The Myrtle Beach Area Small Business Development Center located at Coastal Carolina University is partnering with McNair Law Firm to host two intellectual property seminars on May 12, 2015. The first seminar will be held at the Waccamaw Library in Pawleys Island, SC located at 41 St. Paul Place from 10 a.m. until noon. The second seminar will be held at the Georgetown Library in Georgetown, SC located at 405 Cleland Street from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Both seminars will be led by Douglas Lineberry, Special Counsel with McNair Law Firm. Mr. Lineberry focuses his practice on intellectual property representation including patent, trademark, and copyright protection. Topics covered will be types of intellectual property, how to protect them, and business documentation. There is no charge for this event, but registration is required due to space limitations.
