WHAT IS VMAP?
The VMware Academic Program (VMAP) is a collection of products and services designed specifically for the academic community. The Computer Science and Information Systems department holds an annual subscription that enables academic users to gain easy access to cutting-edge virtuallization technologies and resources.

How do I get the software?

How do I get an activation key?
An activation key is automatically generated for you when your purchase software at any of the webstores. In the even that something goes wrong please contact Student Computing Services in Kearns 113 / (843) 349-2220 for help on obtaining a key.
Can I share my activation key?
In most cases no. Most activation keys are only for use with a single computer. Software that has a sharable volume activation key will be marked as such.
Should I save my activation key?
Yes. If you have to reinstall the software due to whatever reason, you should use the activation key that you used previously.
Do I have to uninstall the software if I’m not taking any computer science classes anymore or after I have graduated?
No. You are allowed to keep installed versions of the software. However, you will not be able to download additional software after you become ineligible for the program.
Who is eligible?
Faculty and staff of the Computer Science Department and students, who are taking classes of the Computer Science Department.
What about privacy?
Personal information is not shared.
Can I start a multi-billion dollar business using the MSDNAA software?
No. The Subscription software may only be used for instructional, non-commercial, and/or research purposes.
