Move In Guide For Students
Date Posted: 2006-07-25
Student Computing Services (ITS-SCS) would like to welcome all the incoming freshmen and returning students back to campus! We are very excited about the new academic year.
When you move in, we know that one of the first things you will want to do is connect to the network and surf the internet. The CCUResNet requires that any computer using Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP** download and install an authentication and validation plugin called Cisco Clean Access Agent (CCAA) to access the network.
This process is very simple, but we have prepared some instructions to guide you along. Please review them before you arrive. You can even print them and bring them with you when you come!
If you will be staying in Santee, Waccamaw, Cypress, Dogwood, Elm, Oak, Palmetto, or University Place, please click here.
If you will be staying in Azalea or Magnolia, please click here.
ITS-SCS would also like to provide you with the solutions to two of the most common problems encountered when connecting to the CCUResNet. Please click here for instructions on firewall configuration and IP settings.
We look forward to seeing you and welcome to Coastal Carolina University!
**NOTE: Other Operating Systems such as Macintosh and Linux will not have to download CCAA but will still authenticate through the CCUResNet Authentication Page. Please review the appropriate instructions for your dormitory hall.
