Installing SafeConnect
(Windows)

  1. Open a Web Browser


    (Note: You may gain internet access without SafeConnect temporarily, however, you will be prompted to log in.)
  2. You will be prompted to Log In..

    Log In with you Coastal Username and Password. Also check the policy box.

  3. Select Yes I will Install the SafeConnect Policy Client .

    *If the software does not run, Select this link.
  4. Windows Vista Users:

    Select Run. User Account Control will prompt you to verify the installation, select Yes or Continue. Select Run again to install. Windows 7 Users:

    Select Run. User Account Control will prompt you to verify the installation, select Yes or Continue. Windows 8 Users:

    Select Run Anyway to Run the App.
  5. Select Install.
  6. Installation of SafeConnect is Complete. Select OK.
  7. You should now have internet access.

If you are having difficulties and would like assistance, you can contact Student Computing Services at 843-349-2908 or Tech Support at 843-349-2220. You can also bring your computer to the Tech Support Center in the Kearns Hall Room 113 during normal operating hours. No appointment is necessary but we do require for you to stay with your device while it is being serviced.
