SCS provides technology workshops to help students learn more about the technology in the classrooms as well as around the campus.
These workshops vary in topics and are offered throughout each semester.

WebAdvisor training for CCU freshmen
Time: 1:00 P.M.
Learn what is WebAdvisor and what it can do for you. This session will cover how to navigate your way around WebAdvisor menus, and how to efficiently find the information you need. It will also cover how to use the e-advising component of WebAdvisor, and how to authorize parents/guardian access to WebAdvisor.

Working with Blackboard -

This workshop will discuss how to use the Blackboard Learn system. Blackboard Learn is
used by professors to push out class content and for students to take online quizes. This workshop
will introduce you to Blackboard Learn so you'll have no problems in your class.

Maintaining your Computer: "Anti-crash" Workshop -
Time: 1:00 P.M.
This workshop discusses the physical (hardware) health as well as
the internal (software) health of your laptop computer. Attend this
workshop and find solutions to questions such as: Why is my
computer extremely slow? Why is my computer crashing occasionally?
What is a firewall and how do I use it? What is the best way to
backup my personal data? How do I know if an email attachment is
safe to open? What do I do if I spill liquid on my keyboard?

This workshop will discuss the network policy of CCU and the purpose and
functions of Cisco Clean Access Agent (CCAA). Topics include
protecting against viruses and malware, updating Microsoft Windows, and
connecting an XBox or Playstation for internet gaming. Resident
Students are strongly encouraged to attend this workshop.

Using Your Mobile Device at CCU.
Time: 10:00 A.M.
This workshop will present a number of apps present on iOS, Android, and Windows Mobile devices.
Students will learn about different apps that can help with their scheduling, e-mail, notes, and research.
Come learn how your mobile device can assist you and keep you organized while at CCU.
