Accounts for Students
A WebAdvisor account is the only account generated for a prospective student or applicant when they apply for admission and pay the application fee. Within three business days after receipt of a student's application to CCU, the Office of Admissions and Merit Awards will send an email to the applicant with instructions on how to set up their password to establish the WebAdvisor account. Prospective students may check their application status via their WebAdvisor account. Once enrolled at CCU, WebAdvisor is where students register for classes, view their financial statements, print unofficial transcripts and more. The account an applicant sets up for WebAdvisor will be the same account used also to access email and Moodle for coursework online when the applicant becomes a student.
A Coastal email account is created only when an applicant becomes a student in which the individual has been accepted and paid all enrollment fees. The Office of Admissions and Merit Awards will send a letter to the student's home address with instructions for accessing the Coastal email account. The account username and password the student created for WebAdvisor will be the same account to use to access Coastal email on Student Email.
Students keep the same username during their enrollment at Coastal Carolina University. For account information or to change a password, visit the Account Lookup page. Students use their CCU username and password to access: student email via Student Email, course material on Moodle, and university registration and payment information on WebAdvisor. If a security question is not on file, the ITS Service Center (Wall 105) can provide a username, temporary password, and account setup web address; a photo ID is required.
Returning students who have missed two consecutive major terms (i.e., Fall/Spring) will have their accounts removed from the system. The ITS Service Center (Wall 105) can provide a username, temporary password, and account setup web address; a photo ID is required.
Osher Lifelong Learning (OLLI) Students
Email accounts are NOT generated for those enrolled in lifelong learning courses.
WebAdvisor for Parents
Students have the ability to provide online authorization(s) for a parent, guardian or other persons to access and receive email reminders about their financial account through a secure WebAdvisor portal. This service may ease the concerns of parents and/or others by providing access to their student's financial account while ensuring University compliance with regulatory student privacy guidelines.
