Coastal Youth Wind Ensemble & Coastal Honor Band
Students who audition for the Coastal Youth Wind Ensemble and the Coastal Honor Band & Scholarhsip Festival will be asked to sight read and play the materials listed below. No prepared piece is rrequired for brass, woodwind and percussion. Piano, harp and string bass must be prepared to play a short prepared piece (see below).
BRASS, WOODWIND & MALLET SCALES
Scales are to be played from memory and will be selected from the list below. Scales can be played using any type of notation. (eighths, triplets, etc) However, they must be played using the ranges provided, otherwise they will be judged as incorrect.
