Dance & Twirl Advisor
Laura Card helps to oversee the Spirit of the Chanticleer dance team and twirlers and assists with associated logistics. Laura coached the CCU Coastal Glamour Twirlers from 2004 through 2011 and was instrumental in the creation of the CCU Coastalettes Dance Team in the fall of 2009. She is a baton, pom and dance instructor with more than forty years of experience and is director of the annual National Baton Twirling Association's (NBTA) South Carolina State Championship competition. Laura owns and operates the Carolina Misses Baton & Dance School in Pawley's Island and Georgetown, SC. This twirling program currently enrolls more than eighty students, with many of the individual and team twirlers winning state, regional and national awards. Laura is an alumni of the world championship team "Dynamics," located in Laurel, Maryland.
