Candice Schrader is a choreographer and technician that has been active in the marching pageantry arts for 13 years. Currently, she is the colorguard director of the Coastal Carolina University Marching Band and has spent the last 2 years as the colorguard director at Carolina Forest high school in Myrtle Beach.
As a performer and educator, Candice has had the opportunity to work all over the country. Her colorguard career began at Francis Howell North H.S. where she marched in the winterguard her senior year. After high school she attended Missouri Western State University. From 2003-2006, Candice was a part of the MWSU Golden Griffin Marching Band serving her last 3 years as captain and choreographer. From 2004-2006, Candice marched with the Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps, serving her final year as captain. She returned to the Blue Stars in 2007 as a part of the colorguard staff.
Candice has taught at several high schools across Missouri, Kansas and Indiana. She has also remained active as a colorguard clinician. In 2008, while at Blue Valley West H.S. (Overland Park, KS.) the winterguard placed 1st at MCCGA Championships. Candice also began a winterguard program at Carolina Forest H.S. where they placed 1st in their class at CWEA Championships in 2011 and 2nd in 2012.
Candice graduated from Missouri Western State University with a B.S. in theatre/ video production with an emphasis in acting and directing.
