The Strategic Planning Steering Committee was formed to bring together the voices of a broad range of Coastal Carolina University stakeholders and to ensure that the crafting of the new strategic plan would incorporate a recognition of how these various constituencies together contributed to delivering on Coastal's future. The Strategic Planning Steering Committee has worked to develop analyses, gather and interpret data, propose a new mission statement (http://www.coastal.edu/about/mission.html), propose a draft values statement (http://www.coastal.edu/strategicplanning/posts.html), and develop a number of task forces (http://www.coastal.edu/strategicplanning/sub_page.html?id=3) to further refine key initiatives into goals, objectives and action plans that can be implemented over the next several years. The Strategic Planning Steering Committee works in association with the Faculty Senate Strategic Planning Committee, bringing items to the Faculty Senate Strategic Planning Committee for comment and revision.
