The Division of Campus Life and Student Engagement seeks to create a safe and caring environment for students in order to foster student success, civility, responsibility and healthy behaviors by challenging students and providing them with a variety of experiences so they can be empowered to reach their goals.

The following principles serve as a foundation for providing meaningful and enriching programs, services and activities that encourage leadership, citizenship and responsibility to self and others: excellence, integrity and ethical competence, respect for diversity, physical and emotional wellness, self-awareness, engaged participation in campus programs, and lifelong learning. In addition, Campus Life and Student Engagement seeks to develop students into responsible adults and productive members of society by promoting the personal characteristics of competence, confidence, collaboration, character and caring.

Campus Recreation

Campus Recreation provides programs that promote healthy, active and enjoyable lifestyles for all students. Whether interested in general fitness, recreation or competitive activities, Campus Recreation has something for everyone. Facilities include the HTC Student Recreation and Convocation Center, Williams-Brice Physical Education Center with three basketball courts and a six-lane swimming pool and multiple recreation fields.

Accessibility & Disability Services

Counseling Services are offered to assist students in defining and accomplishing their personal goals. Priorities of this department include: treatment of mental health concerns prevention of psychological difficulties, educating students to live emotionally and behaviorally healthy lives and contributing to a healthy campus environment. The Office of Accessibility and Disability Services offers students with physical, psychological, or learning disabilities accommodations and assistance. With appropriate documentation, accessibility coordinators determine accommodations needed to assist students in taking full advantage of their Coastal Carolina University educational opportunities. On-going academic coaching is offered to assist students with disabilities to help ensure success at Coastal Carolina University.

Student Health Services

Student Health Services offers quality primary medical care and health education services, with an emphasis on wellness and healthy lifestyles. A dedicated team of medical professionals are available to assess your health care needs. Students are encouraged to make an appointment for non-emergencies, visit to pick up health and wellness resources or access website for many other resources.

Scheduling and Event Services

Scheduling and Event Services assists in the accomplishment of the University's educational mission and serves as a support staff to the University's communities of students, faculty, staff and guests. Our mission is to operate and maintain the University's centralized scheduling and calendar system using contemporary technologies, to provide unparalleled, professional technical production and venue services for Wheelwright Auditorium and the HTC Center Arena, as well as ticketing and house management for a diverse schedule of non-athletic, educational, social and entertainment events. Our mission is to enhance the Coastal experience by providing first-class service and connecting individuals with the right resources.

Transportation Services provides leadership in developing, administering and improving transportation programs and services provided to students, employees, alumni and guests of Coastal Carolina University. This includes: rental car services, motor coach service, van rental services, box truck rental service, shuttle service and fleet management.
