Greek Week 2011
April 8th - 16th
"We may stand out, but we never stand alone"
Greek Week is the collective initiative for all chapters of each governing council to display our founding purposes to the Coastal Carolina University community, the Conway area, and Myrtle Beach. The methods used will be educational as well as social in nature. Each chapter of the Greek organizations is expected to actively participate in the planning, successful implementation, and assessment of Greek Week. While there are distinct differences in the operations of the three governing councils, those differences will be acknowledged and instrumental in creating the overall Greek experience at the University. The overall Fraternity and Sorority winners of Greek Week 2011 will be announced at the 2011 Teal Affair on April 19th.
Greek Week Philanthropic Cause
Greek Week 2011 participants are working with Students Taking Active Responsibility (S.T.A.R.) and Colleges Against Cancer to support Relay for Life. Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of your American Cancer Society. All philanthropic activities, including the Philanthropy Fair and the NPHC Battle of the Greeks, will raise money for Relay for Life. Chapters will also have the opportunity to complete service hours while helping the children of the local Boys and Girls Clubs participate in an Easter Egg Hunt.
