WHY SHOULD I CONSIDER GREEK LIFE?

Academic Achievement

• All Coastal Carolina fraternities and sororities offer their own academic achievement program consisting of tutoring sessions, grade point requirements, and academic incentives.

• 70% of Greeks graduate from college while less than 50% of non-Greeks graduate.

Service And Philanthropy

• Each fraternity and sorority gives back to the community through volunteering and contributing to a variety of organizations including Habitat for Humanity, PUSH, Special Olympics, Breast Cancer Research and a host of others.

• Greeks nationally contribute more than 10 million hours each year to volunteer service.

Leadership Development

• Whether interacting with administrators, faculty, staff or alumni or managing members of a committee fraternities and sororities enable a student to gain necessary leadership skills for the future.

Networking Opportunities

• Social events are planned to relieve the stress of class. CCU Greeks offer date parties, formal dances, and other sisterhood and brotherhood activities.

• Greeks make up 3% of the U.S. population, in both government and industry, a large percentage of leaders have been Greek.
