Panhellenic Council

If you are interested in finding your “home away from home” and a sisterhood that will literally last a lifetime, then Panhellenic Life may be your answer. At Coastal Carolina University, Fraternities and Sororities emphasize a lifetime commitment to upholding a specific set of values and to the service of others.

The Panhellenic Association hosts an annual Formal Recruitment at the beginning of the fall semester. Panhellenic Recruitment is a mutual selection process, whereby prospective members will have opportunities to select their preferred organizations, and organizations will be selecting their preferred potential new members.

Are there any requirements to participate in Formal Recruitment?

Yes. The Panhellenic Association has a minimum grade requirement for potential new members. Women with less than 12 attempted hours at Coastal Carolina University must have at least a 2.5 cumulative, high school or transfer GPA. Current CCU students also need to have at least a 2.5 cumulative average.

In addition, all potential new members must be full time students at Coastal Carolina University and be in good academic and disciplinary standing.

How do I register for Formal Recruitment?

All recruitment registrations must be filled out online. Please click on the link below and fill out the registration disclaimer, agreement, and form in their entirety. Registrations are not considered complete until the forms are submitted online, grades are verified, and payment is received.

How can I pay the Registration Fee?

The Registration Fee for Formal Recruitment is $25 until 5pm on August 26th, 2012. All payments received after August 26, 2012 will incur a $10.00 late charge ($35). Payments received on September 3, 2012 will be assessed a $25.00 late charge ($50). Payment amount is determined by when the fee is paid, not when the application is completed.

Make sure to print the Registration Confirmation that is automatically sent to the email address you listed in your application and bring it along with your transcripts and payment to the Lib-Jackson Student Center, room 215-O. Make checks payable to Coastal Carolina University and please put your Coastal Carolina University ID# and NPC Recruitment in the memo portion of the check.
