CINO Quest

What is CINO Quest?

The purpose CINO Quest is to give freshman an opportunity to have fun, make friends, and learns more about life at Coastal as well as to start thinking about becoming a leader on campus.  It is a three-day event led by CCU students who are passionate about making the first year of college a success for the freshmen! Every counselor has valuable personal experience, so they can offer advice about classes, fun things to do in the area, and anything else you need as you begin your journey as a Chanticleer!

What do you do at CQ?

Freshmen are split into small groups of approximately 10 students and 2 upperclassmen counselors. Your team will share a special bond as you spend time getting to know one another, attending programs that highlight the opportunities and services available on campus and participating in Chanticleer Traditions such as the Alma Mater, CINO Yell and Pep Rallies.

Each camp is divided into Discussion Groups of 8 freshmen and 2 counselors. These Discussion Groups are a place where many Chants meet some of their best college friends. In addition to meeting friends, CQ time will also provide you with opportunities to ask any questions you may have about life at CCU.

Each night, you will have time for fun whether it is a miniature golf outing, play video and board games, watch movies and socialize with upperclassmen and other freshmen. Both options are a great opportunity to get to know your new Chanticleer friends!

Can you attend orientation and CINO Quest?  Yes, the programs are scheduled next to each other for convenience so students could easily participate in both.

What does the student do between during the time between Orientation and CQ?

The student will have his residence hall room where they can relax and there are several computer labs available if they don’t have their computer w/them.  The can also visit the Lib Jackson Student Center game room and have some fun w/all the games options provided.

Why should I go to CINO Quest?

  • It was awesome and it really made a difference.
  • I love CINO Quest and I can’t wait to be a part of Coastal.
  • I enjoyed myself and the teams and skits were a great idea.
