 Habitat for Humanity Restore

S.T.A.R. (Students Taking Active Responsibility) is the primary community service student organization at Coastal Carolina University. S.T.A.R. provides opportunities throughout the year for students, faculty, and staff to make an impact on the community. No Car? No Problem! S.T.A.R provides transportation and with events happening every week to choose from you won’t be bored!

Want to Take a Trip? Spend Your Break Making a Difference!

 

Over winter break, S.T.A.R goes to the Give Kids the World Village in Kissimmee, Florida. Give Kids the World is a nonprofit organization that provides children with life-threatening illnesses and their families to enjoy a cost-free vacation in the Orlando area. At the village, S.T.A.R members serve food at the Gingerbread house; assist with night activities and much more!

Over spring break S.T.A.R members spend the week building a house for a family in need with Habitat For Humanity. Past locations include, Thibodaux, LA, Albany, GA and Amarillo, TX.

Weekly Meetings are on Thursday at 6:00pm in The Student Center 206 or CINO Grill.
