Sustainability brings together students, staff, faculty and the community at Coastal Carolina University. You can commit to help the Sustainability Initiative simply by recycling, reducing your waste, riding your bike or volunteering your time.
The core of the Sustainability Initiative at CCU is within the student body. Student programs evolve with the growth of the campus but remain sustainable.
Sustain Coastal Programs and Events include:
- Welcome Weekend Move-In Recycling (mid-August)
- Campus Sustainability Day and Recycled Boat Race (October; for Homecoming)
- Dress Drive (December-January)
- Celebrate Earth (April)
- Think Outside the Bottle (all year)
- Farmers Market (October and April)
- Campus Salvage (May)
