The mission of
Technology in Education to Advance Learning (TEAL) is to
develop consulting relationships with faculty members from all academic
disciplines at Coastal Carolina University to improve student learning
by integrating technology in the teaching process.
We provide faculty and other teaching staff an opportunity

Training for the following applications: Office 03 and 07 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Publisher),
Adobe Products (Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop, Acrobat),
Screen Capture software Camtasia, quiz-making software Respondus, and Web 2.0 technologies
A media computer
with Adobe Premiere Elements for art, video, and audio creation and editing
When working with the TEAL staff with copyrighted materials, you may be requested to fill out a Copyright Request Form and/or a Job Request Form. This form is submitted to University Counsel for approval. Please allow time for approval in your project planning.
The TEAL Center provides faculty technology development training for Coastal Carolina University faculty. In addition we offer faculty educational development in the areas of distance learning, instructional technology, and course design. We partner with other departments to offer sessions in scholarship and research, teaching and learning, and assessement.
If you are interested in partnering with us to provide sessions to that are open to all faculty in any of the these areas or other areas, please contact us. Sessions hosted by the TEAL Center must contain a description with learning outcomes and be open to all Coastal Carolina faculty.
