Coastal Carolina offers assessment testing using a program called Accuplacer. This program can be used to identify areas of weakness in the areas of Math, Reading, and Writing. It is a computer based test and is offered by appointment during regular business hours. The fee for this test is $25.00.

In conjunction with the Accuplacer program, course work can be assigned via Advancer. This is an internet based program which the student can use to improve on the areas of weakness which were identified, using the Accuplacer test. The charge is $35 per course area and can be accessed by the student for six months from the date the program is activated.
