Makeup tests

Information

The Academic Testing Center offers the administration of makeup tests on an individual basis for students who are unable to test because of an excused absence from a CCU in-class test.  Please refer to CCU’s Class Attendance policy for more information on excused absences.

Information for students:

Your instructor initiates the makeup test process.  Once we receive the test and instructions from your instructor, we will send you an email with instructions on your testing options.

If you have questions, please see our Frequently Asked Questions.

Information for instructors:

ATTENTION INSTRUCTORS: Technical issues (lockdown, webcam, microphone, etc.) and instructor/student preference to test in the ATC are not considered excused absences.

Instructors must submit to the ATC a completed Makeup Test Request Form and all test material (test, instructions, charts, formulas, etc.).

*** ATC will only process requests once we have received both the request AND the test materials. These items may be submitted in person to CSCC 102 or by email.

The delivery or return of the Makeup Test Request Form and/or test by the student is not permitted; all forms and tests must be submitted by the faculty member or their administrative assistant.

We recommend that instructors allow a minimum of 3-5 days for the tests to be completed by the students.  This is especially true at the end of the semester when the ATC experiences higher than average testing volume.

The ATC will notify the students by email regarding their testing options.

The completed test will be returned either by instructor pickup or by email, as indicated on the Makeup Test Request form.  Please note that the ATC does not accept or return exams by student delivery or campus mail.

If you have questions, please see our Frequently Asked Questions.

Walk-in testing hours are 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday thru Thursday.

    • Tests will not be started after 2:00 p.m.
    • All tests must be completed by 4:00 p.m.

Arrival time must allow for full testing time.
***For example, if 3 hours are allowed for a test, testing must begin no later than 1:00 p.m.
