Stephen Toney holds an M.F.A. in Lighting Design and Technical Direction from the University of Memphis and a B.A. from Coastal Carolina University. In Memphis, he was the Lighting Designer for various productions including House & Garden, Into the Woods, and Everyman. Stephen most recently worked as Assistant Lighting Designer for Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma City working on Ragtime, Oliver, Hairspray, and A Chorus Line. Previously in Myrtle Beach, he worked The Gatlin Brothers, All American Music Theatre, The Crook & Chase Theatre and The Magic of Allan Valentine. In addition to his work in Lighting Design, he has worked for many years as a Technical Director and Stage Manger, but lighting has always been his passion.
