Todd Wren designs for theatre, themed attractions, and architecture. With more than 300 professional design credits, his career spans more than a quarter century. Todd's world premiere designs include, Stand by Your Man with the Granny Award Winning Jim Lauderdale and directed by Gabriel Barre; Alice's Adventures in Wonderland conceived and choreographed by Chase Brock; Turned Funny directed by Fred Chappell; and the NYC premieres of The Fall to Earth (59e59) directed by Joe Brancato and A Dash of Rosemary conceived and directed by Douglas Kampsen.  Todd's regional credits include, Goodspeed Musicals, The Cleveland Playhouse, Seaside Musical Theatre, The Barter Theatre, Merrimack Repertory Theatre, Florida Repertory Theatre, Palm Beach DramaWorks, Pittsburgh Playhouse, People's Light and Theatre Company, Peterborough Players, Casa Manana, Penguin Repertory Theatre, Theatre in the Square, John W. Engeman Theatre, Arkansas Repertory Theatre, Charlotte Repertory Theatre, Flat Rock Playhouse, Gainesville Theatre Alliance, and The North Carolina Shakespeare Festival.  Todd's commercial designs include: Nickelodeon Slime Time Live, Nicktoon's Summer Jam, and Paramount Park Productions of The Magic of the Movies, Graveyard Shift, Superstars, and Latin Hot Beats.  He also designed Cruise Line entertainment on Queen Elizabeth II, Renaissance Cruise Lines, and Pacific Hawaii Lines.  His Architectural design clients include; Wonderworks Construction at 23 Wall Street in New York City, The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, and Stations Casino, Kansas City.

As Resident Lighting Designer and Production Electrician at The Coconut Grove Playhouse, Todd worked alongside Tony Award winning Lighting Designers, Pat Collins, Ken Billington, and Richard Pilbrow.  Todd designed the 30 year anniversary revival of Waiting for Gadot, and was nominated for a Carbonell Award for his design of the world premiere of Marjory.  

In Charlotte North Carolina Todd received Creative Loafing's Best Lighting Design for A Few Good Men and the Metropolitan Theatre Association Best Musical Lighting Design Award for UNC-Charlotte's production of Urinetown.

Todd has lectured and designed for Brenau University, Gainesville State College, Western Carolina University, Davidson College, Western Carolina University, Fairmont State University, and most recently adjunct faculty at Point Park University.

Todd has been invited to participate in this year's Lincoln Center Directors Lab workshop developing new works and with early career director's. 

Todd is an active member of United Scenic Artist. He holds a BA from the University of Alabama and an MFA from Carnegie Mellon University.
