Deborah "Debbie" K. Conner
Associate Vice President for University Relations

Debbie Conner is associate vice president for University Relations. Her areas of responsibility include acting as the chief of staff for the Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer, supervision of communications and marketing, strategic planning, special events, cultural promotions, conference services and facilities utilization, and Wheelwright Auditorium. Conner has been with Coastal Carolina University since 1994 when she joined the professional staff of the Division of Student Affairs.
She is a member of the Rotary Club of Carolina Forest Breakfast, where she is a Paul Harris Fellow. She is a member of the Coastal Carolina YMCA Metro Board. Conner is an alumnus of Leadership Grand Strand, Leadership South Carolina, and the South Carolina Executive Institute. She provides corporate training in leadership and team development.
Conner received a bachelor's degree in education from Converse College, a master's degree in student personnel services from the University of South Carolina and a Ph.D. in educational leadership from Clemson University.

Porter Medley

Porter Medley has served as the director of conference services and Wheelwright Auditorium since 1999. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Coastal Carolina University in 1999. He is retired from the U.S. Navy.
Judy Hawkins

Judy Hawkins has served as the assistant director of Conference Services and Wheelwright since 2007 and has been employed with Coastal Carolina University since 1994. She earned an associate's degree in Business Management with a minor in Accounting from Wytheville Community College in 1992. She has a 30-year career in higher education.

Marc McIntyre has served as the Wheelwright technical director since 2001. He earned a bachelor's degree in Communications and Theatre from North Carolina State University in 1998.

Brian Carter has served as the Wheelwright lighting director since 1999. He attended the North Carolina School of the Arts.
Seth Cox
Audio Engineer

Seth Cox has served as the Wheelwright audio engineer since 2002. He earned an associate's degree in Audio Engineering from Full Sail Center for the Recording Arts in Orlando, Florida, in 1996.

Shawn Sease
Director of Special Events

Shawn Sease has served as director of special events at Coastal Carolina University since 2008. Prior to her appointment at Coastal, she was employed at Duke University from 1999 to 2008 as an alumni relations specialist at the Law School and event coordinator for the Athletics Department. Sease also worked in the events field at the Wolf Trap Foundation in Vienna, Virginia. She earned a bachelor's degree in business from the College of Charleston in 1989.
Jennifer Jazwinski
Assistant Director of Special Events

Jennifer Jazwinski joined the University as an events specialist in 2007. In November 2008, she became the coordinator of cultural promotions and events. As of February 2011, she serves as the assistant director of special events. She earned a bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Pittsburgh in 2007. While an undergraduate student, she interned with CBS Radio.
