Special Events falls under the leadership of the Associate Vice President for University Relations and is responsible for programming University-wide events to enrich our community. This includes events that reach out to our external stakeholders and also events that celebrate the accomplishments of our faculty and staff.

Celebration of Inquiry, Commencement, Family Weekend, Founders’ Day, Grad Finale, Homecoming, Honors Convocation, Humanities Gala, and the Kimbel Lecture Series are just a few examples of the activities coordinated to showcase Coastal as a growing, dedicated, and premiere undergraduate institution united by an exceptional faculty and staff, outstanding alumni, wonderful community friends, and, most importantly, truly exceptional students who are our leaders of tomorrow.
