Scott Brandon

Conway, S.C., native Scott Brandon is the owner, CEO and president of The Brandon Agency, a full service marketing, advertising, public relations, interactive and social media agency. The Brandon Agency is South Carolina’s largest privately owned marketing firm with such clients as Santee Cooper, HTC, McCall Farms, CBL and Associates, YETI Coolers, Caledonia Golf and Fish Club, and Golf Academy of America. The Brandon Agency is headquartered in Myrtle Beach with satellite offices in Charleston and Charlotte.

Brandon’s leadership in entrepreneurial businesses reaches well beyond The Brandon Agency. In 1993 he founded Intellistrand which manages and monetizes intuitive domain names on the Internet, primarily, www.myrtlebeach.com. In 2006 he founded Fuel Interactive, a full service interactive marketing agency specializing in search engine marketing, managed website development, custom software applications and CRM (Customer Relationship Management). Fuel Interactive, as one of the nation’s leading search engine and web marketing agencies, generated over $400 million in online transactions for its clients in 2011.

In 2008 Brandon’s interests expanded to the car rental business. He became a partner in Merit Associates, a rental car franchisee currently holding a USave franchise in Myrtle Beach, a SIXT franchise in Tampa and Myrtle Beach and a Fox Rent A Car franchise in Myrtle Beach. In 2011 he also became a partner in Vehicle Ventures, a rental car franchisee currently holding Fox Rent A Car affiliates in Myrtle Beach and Jacksonville, Fla. In 2012 he founded Best Rent A Car, an affiliate franchiser. He presently maintains his involvement in all of these marketing and rental businesses.

Prior to his many business ventures, Brandon worked at the Bellamy Law Firm in Myrtle Beach where he specialized in litigation.

Brandon also serves his community in various capacities. He is the vice chairman of Carolina Financial Corporation and CresCom Bank, chairman of the  Myrtle Beach Area Recovery Council, and is a board member of the Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corporation. He has served previously on the boards of several community organizations such as Myrtle Beach Haven, Make a Wish SC and the Better Business Bureau.

He was awarded the Silver Medal for Lifetime achievement in the advertising industry by the American Advertising Federation and was named 2009 Citizen of the Year by Pee Dee Area March of Dimes for commitment to community service.

Brandon earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Davidson College and a juris doctor degree from the South Carolina School of Law. He and his wife, Lisa, have three children.
