President: Mary Jo Roberts

Since 2004, Mary Jo Roberts has worked for the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP), a non-profit membership association dedicated to the training and education needs of the financial risk profession. Serving more than 110,000 members worldwide, the company is headquartered in Jersey City, N.J., with offices in London and Istanbul. In 2007, after serving as Membership Director and interim Human Resource Director, Roberts began her current role as Director of the GARP Career Center, an online job board that generates career opportunities for members and a revenue stream for GARP. Roberts is responsible for all aspects of the job board, including marketing, sales, reporting and customer service. As an Internet based operation, she manages the GARP Career Center from her home in Conway.

Prior to joining GARP, she worked at Pace University in New York for 17 years where she served primarily as Director of Advising for the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences; she also held positions in the Law School, Admissions Office and Registrar's Office. In addition to assisting students, Roberts also worked with faculty on core curriculum revision, planned numerous recruitment, conversion and student recognition events, and administered a named scholarship.

While at Pace, Roberts completed two degrees: a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Public Administration.

She is married to Michael H. Roberts, the Dean of the College of Natural and Applied Sciences at Coastal Carolina University and has two stepdaughters: Catherine, a music major at Ithaca College and Rebecca, a mathematics major at Smith College.
