WIPL announces 29 scholarship recipients for 2012-2013

Twenty-nine Coastal Carolina University students have been awarded scholarships for the 2012-2013 academic year through Women in Philanthropy and Leadership for Coastal Carolina University (WIPL).

Each year the organization awards annual scholarships to deserving Coastal Carolina University students.

To be eligible for the 2012-2013 WIPL scholarship, continuing and transfer students must have met the following criteria: completion of a minimum of 15 credit hours with a cumulative collegiate grade point average of at least 3.2; be enrolled at least part-time; and demonstrate financial need. Preference is given to students from Horry, Georgetown, Dillon, Marion or Williamsburg counties. Candidates also submitted a written statement expressing how the scholarship will assist their academic preparation for attaining their career goals and demonstrated leadership.
