The staff of the Coastal Carolina University Writing Center is made up primarily of undergraduate tutors who have been recommended by their writing teachers. In order to earn a position as a tutor, a students must also submit a writing sample of work submitted for a grade, interview with the Writing Center Coordinator, and maintain a grade point average of 3.0 in all courses.
In addition to these undergraduate tutors, at least one graduate assistant tutor normally serves in the Writing Center during the Fall and Spring Semesters. Scott Pleasant, the Writing Center Coordinator, also serves as a tutor in the Writing Center.
