Take the Watershed Pledge!
The Kingston Lake Environment Awareness Network (KLEAN) is a community service initiative to embrace our natural resources as valuable amenities that make our community unique as we grow. The KLEAN principle is that community character, growth and vitality are linked to clean water, natural beauty, and safe recreation.
Our waterways are vulnerable and suffer from untreated water running off of our roads, parking lots, driveways, and rooftops. The runoff water carries pollutants it picks up into the very streams and rivers that we enjoy.
KLEAN’s Watershed Pledge gives citizens the power to prevent water pollution by making simple choices at home or at work. The pledge is a volunteer program that encourages watershed residents to come together to protect our beloved waterways.
To take the Watershed Pledge, just complete the pledge form below. Choose the things you can do with your family to help prevent pollution. You don’t have to pledge everything on the list to make a difference. Even one or two will help. Once you see how easy it is, you might even decide to take on a few more.
