Chris Mee has been with Coastal Carolina University since 1989 where she started as a research analyst in the Office of Institutional Research after having worked in the private sector for many years. Currently, she is the executive director of planning and research in the Office of Institutional Research, Assessment and Analysis. Mee also serves as the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) liaison for the University.
Mee is an active member in the Association of Institutional Research (AIR), Southern Association of Institutional Research (SAIR), and the South Carolina Association for Institutional Research (SCAIR). She has served as a SACSCOC peer evaluator since 2008. She has presented multiple times at SACSCOC, AIR, SAIR, and SCAIR conferences. She has served as president and member-at-large for SCAIR and secretary and member-at-large for SAIR.
Mee earned a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from the State University of New York at Oneonta and a Master of Education in community and occupational programs in education from the University of South Carolina. She served as a faculty member with Horry County Adult Education for 19 years.
