Adriane Sheffield is a professor in the Department of Foundations, Curriculum and Instruction in the Spadoni College of Education. Her background is in early childhood education, special education and educational psychology.  She has more than a decade of experience working in public schools with a focus on underserved populations. She has developed research interests that center around young children and community engagement. Other areas of interest include STEAM education, early robotics experiences for PK-2 students and teacher development and project-based learning.
