Edward Jadallah, Ph.D., is a professor, dean of the Spadoni College of Education and vice president for Online Education and Teaching Excellence at Coastal Carolina University. He has also served as interim dean and as chair of the Department of Leadership, Middle Level and MAT Secondary Education. As dean, Jadallah is responsible for the oversight of program development, budgets and personnel in the Spadoni College.

"Considering the current national emphasis on content standards, student achievement and teacher accountability, it is important for teacher education programs to examine and evaluate the validity of curriculum, instruction and assessment practices to student learning." Specific plans include involving members of the college to participate in ongoing strategic planning, along with collaboration with other programs and departments.

Before becoming a CCU faculty member in Fall 2010, Jadallah served as chair of the teacher education faculty and served as cooperating faculty in the School of Policy and International Affairs at the University of Maine. Career highlights for Jadallah at UMaine were founding a Ph.D. program in curriculum and instruction; working on a collaborative grant with Zayed University in the United Arab Emirates; and developing a Global Education Institute and Study Tour for pre-service and in-service teachers.

Jadallah has 29 years of postsecondary teaching and administrative experience, specializing in curriculum design and evaluation, social studies education and global studies. He earned a bachelor's degree in history and psychology (dual major) from Malone College in Canton, Ohio; a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from Bowling Green State University; and a Ph.D. in teacher education and social studies education from Ohio State University in Columbus.
