Dr. Keaghan Turner earned her Ph.D. in English from the University of South Carolina and, before moving to the HTC Honors College, was a faculty member in the Department of English at CCU. She enjoys teaching multidisciplinary courses deriving from her research at the intersections of literary history, writing, cultural studies, and object theories. She studies Victorian cultures of collecting and representations of communications technologies in fin de siècle crime fiction and has published on a range of subjects, from detective fiction and social media to vintage objects and the second-hand economy. Her current project focuses on artifacts of crime and the narrative power of things.

Dr. Turner also serves as Editor of Bridges: A Journal of Student Research, the university’s annual showcase of undergraduate research from across the disciplines. She encourages all CCU undergraduate students to contact her about submitting their work for publication.
