Biography

Bergeron's research interests include immersive simulation and 3D landscape reconstruction, geovisualization, the development of digital city models for small municipalities and rural areas, GIScience and the humanities, and geospatial technologies in education. She has co-authored articles on virtual landscapes and book chapters on the Geospatial Web and GIS and geovisualization in the humanities. Bergeron was awarded a PhD Dissertation Fellowship from West Virginia University and is a past recipient of the Special Achievement in GIS Award from ESRI.
