Misti Williams grew up in the Pacific Northwest which she never gets tired of reminding people of.  She earned her Ph.D at the University of Washington in Seattle, with an emphasis in political communication.  Her research focuses on communication and political activism, strategic media frames, global communication, and politics and popular culture.  For fun, Misti Williams enjoys traveling, live music, running, and spending time with her husband and feline family.
