Cultural change starts in everyday discourse and the arts."
Biography
Karatza's work brings together intercultural communication, sensory ethnography, and film to explore the potential of senses—and extensions of them through digital media—to create and construct alternative socio-aesthetic places in which everyday life, otherwise seemingly agent-less and mundane, becomes meaningful.
Karatza is originally from Greece and Cyprus; she joined the CCU faculty in 2015.
