Biography
Dr. Wendy Weinhold's work focuses on the changing definition of U.S. journalists in the digital age. Her interests include critical theory and feminist criticism. She is a qualitative researcher, and her articles have been published in Feminist Media Studies and Journalism Studies. Her research has been recognized with Top Paper awards from the International Communication Association and the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication. Dr. Weinhold has more than a decade of experience as a journalist, serving as a reporter for newspapers and public radio stations in Nebraska, Illinois, and South Carolina. She worked as a mentor and writing coach at the Daily Egyptian at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She and her husband, David Miller, have a daughter, Thea, a son, Samuel, and too many pets.
